Itanagar, December 18, 2017: Chandigarh-based Gerrari Offroaders won first prize at the JK Tyre Orange 4X4 Fury, part of the Orange Festival of Adventure & Music that is currently underway in Dambuk, Lower Dibang Valley.
Making Arunachal proud were the Namsai-based MOCCA team that came in third while Nagaland’s Association of Offroaders came in second.
Attending the closing ceremony, deputy chief minister Chowna Mein said that that there are a lot of aspiring youths who need to be provided a proper platform to grow.
“The government is ready to support every platform which gives an opportunity to budding talents of the state to perform and excel,” he said.
He said that the state is passing through a transitional phase and that a change for betterment is ahead with improvement of road connectivity.
Mein said that Dambuk which remains cut-off during the monsoon season will now be well connected after the completion of two bridges over the Dibang and Sisar (Sisiri) rivers.
He also appreciated festival director, Abu Tayeng, and his team for spearheading this annual event for the fourth consecutive edition.
Mein, who has attended the festival for the third time said that the Orange Festival of Adventure & Music is becoming better year after year.
