Sikkim: Lady Kingpin arrested after Sikkim Women in Saudi Arabia make Distress Call!

Gangtok, July 30, 2017: In a recent case of two Sikkim women who reportedly made headlines in the Northeast Indian region when they sent out a distress call to their families for help, police have made a swift move in this regard by arresting a lady kingpin.

Upon relentless follow up by Helping Hands NGO members in the cases of two Sikkimese females who were allegedly under ‘forceful captive ‘ at Saudi Arabia, Sikkim police have arrested a lady kingpin who was seen to be involved in sending girls from Northeast India to foreign countries, especially the Gulf region.

The arrested woman has been identified as one with the name of Yankee.As per reports, the lady who coonived with agents from cities lured the females (in search of employment) and handed them over to a dalal or agent called Bala from Mumbai, who sent these girls with the promise of good jobs, but mostly, they landed land in terrible inhuman condition. It may be mentioned that cases are increasing with each passing day wherein people in search of jobs are sent to unknown places where their lives become almost equal to modern day slaves.
