ITANAGAR: The Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) has lodged a complaint against its MLA Kalikho Pul in Itanagar Police Station with a bribery charge.

According to allegation, Pul talked to an Assamese businessman Romeo Neog seeking financial help to buy MLAs to revolt against CM, Nabam Tuki.

APCC legal cell Co-Convenor Tadar Nanang lodged the complaint alleging that the former minister was managing funds to entice Indian National Congress MLAs to join BJP to ensure his position as Chief Minister.

"Pul and his team have been conspiring for defection from the Indian National Congress with the intention to merge with BJP. Sole motive of the conspiracy is to dethrone the present CM from his chair through means of creating serious law and order problem in the state," read the statement of APCC.
