TNT News | Kohima, May 17, 2018:

The Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) today observed its first Foundation Day with a thanksgiving prayer service at the party headquarters in Dimapur, Nagaland.

The party has expressed its sincere thanks and appreciation to the people of Nagaland for the ‘love, support and solidarity’. “The NDPP was formed as a response to the desire of the people for an alternative and the need for a movement to bring positive change,” said a statement issued by the media cell of the NDPP.

Furthermore, the release said that the NDPP remains committed to its aims, objectives and the sacred commitments made to the people. “We reiterate our declaration of working tirelessly for the all-round upliftment of the people’s welfare. The NDPP will strive for achievement of a redrawn roadmap of development, enforce transparency and combat corruption at all levels,” it said.

The NDPP has called upon all sections of the people to join the party in their ‘collective endeavor’ of bringing about positive change, “as every citizen is a stakeholder in the future of Nagaland and it is our aim that no person should be left behind in the new journey of growth and progress,” it added.
