Nagaland Hornbill International 2017 Rock Contest Begins

DIMAPUR, December 6, 2017:  The Hornbill International Rock 2017 contest hit the brick on at the Agri Expo site, Dimapur on December 5 evening. Seven out of the 23 competing bands shared the stage on the first day of the preliminary round.

 

The competition started with an array of judges including Soumini Sridhara Paul, Vice President, Artist Aloud (Hungama Media Pvt. Ltd), Uday Benegal, frontman of Indus Creed, and Mhaseve Tetseo (Tetseo Sisters, Rattle and Hum Band and Gear Men Dudes).

 

23 bands out of which nine will be selected to vie for top honours at the grand finale of this year’s HIRC schedule to be held on December 8.

 

The show was hosted by Moanungsang Jamir.

 

The line up for the first day of the preliminary round was: Perfect Stick Figure Illustrations (Gangtok), Radio City (Kohima), Seed of Changes (Bengaluru), Radical Change (Mirik, Darjeeling), Avora Records (Aizawl), Trivial (Guwahati) and The Great Decade (Mokokchung).
