Nagaland: ANCSU appeals for disbursement of scholarships at the earliest

DIMAPUR: The All Nagaland College Students’ Union (ANCSU) have come out in aid to help the student community from scholarship scarcity by appealing to the Director of Higher Education for its early release.

In a letter, attached by President Zhoku Thuluo, General Secretary Benjong Longchar and Education Secretary Viranu Ltu, it stated that the delay has adversely affected many students as they are dependent on the scholarship for their academic requirements.

According to the statement from the letter, it said, “The cold delay in the disbursal of scholarship has created further confusion and discouragement to the students’ community as a whole. This is unjust on the part of the government and the concerned department.”

The ANCSU requested the director to take effective measures immediately, necessary action must be taken to release all the scholarships at the earliest to avoid further “misunderstanding and inconveniences” between the students’ community and the concerned department as assured by Department of Higher Education on August 7, 2014.
