BENGALURU, Oct 2, 2017: A 19-year-old engineering student from Meghalaya took his own life by jumping under a train at Chikkabanawara, Bengaluru on Monday morning.
Before he ended his life, the youth identified as Savio Diengdoh had left a suicide note addressing to all his family members seeking their apology with an end note which reads, “Sorry, I can’t live in this earth full of sins.”
According to The New Indian Express, what turns out to be a case of unrequited love, police said that the victim had left a message to his brother confessing his love for a girl who didn’t bother to return his greeting on her birthday.
Savio, a native of Meghalaya studying in a private college on Hesaraghatta road, was living in a paying guest accommodation along with his brother.
The body has been shifted to MS Ramaiah Hospital for post-mortem procedures. Preliminary investigations revealed that Savio was in love and had sent a message to the girl on Sunday night greeting her on her birthday.
However, when the girl, who lives in Meghalaya, failed to respond to his message, Savio could have been devastated and police are guessing this may have triggered Savio’s suicide impulse.
