The former Chief Minister of Kerala, Oomen Chandy praised Chief Minister Dr Mukul Sangma for doing well in bringing all round development in Meghalaya even as he expressed confidence that the Congress will be able to come back to power.
“He (Dr Mukul) is going a good job for the development of the State. We are confident to comeback to power in Meghalaya,” Chandy while adressing media persons here on Tuesday.
Despite not having a single MLA in Meghalaya, he said that the BJP is desperately using all its machinery just by taking advantage of being at helms of affairs at the Centre.
“We need to oppose to the misuse of power on the part of the BJP,” he said.
Stating not only winning the election in Meghalaya, the former Chief Minister of Kerala said that the Congress will come back to power after the 2019 general elections in the country.
While coming down heavily on the BJP, he said that the Congress will fight against the BJP not only in Meghalaya but across the country.
He alleged tht the saffron party is trying to divide the society adding that this can seen by the controversies over the beef ban controversy and this is a clear interference with the people’s rights on what to eat and what to wear.
