“PM Modi had asked the citizens of the nation to bear with him for fifty days or he would face any punishment given by the citizens of the nation. His fifty days are up and the citizens of the nation are still facing the hardships due to demonetization. We are calling his bluff and demand that he stick to his word and face the nation or will he make a complete turnaround. From past record he is a man who does not value his own words and is known to make outrageous false promises for publicity,” said Richard on the reason for the protest.

The MPYC team also burnt effigies of other BJP members including finance minister, Arun Jaitley, BJP president Amit Shah as well as spokesperson of Meghalaya BJP, Nalin Kohli.
