Meghalaya has nothing to proud of except its good National Highway that too build by centre, this was stated by Senior BJP leader and former Minister in Narendra Modi’s Government Rajiv Pratap Rudy during a public gathering in Shillong.
He said “except the roads constructed by NHAI there isn’t much of which the Meghalaya should feel proud about its government, the roads are also constructed by central agency”.
Later when reporters asked him about his statement, Rudy clarified “Meghalaya should match its footstep with centre and work together with central Govt”.
“He said that the funds are not utilised properly sent by Centre,” he added.
He also slammed congress by saying nothing was achieved when both centre and the state was ruled by congress.
Exuding confidence that the BJP will come to power on its own in the state, he called BJP president Amit Shah a ‘magic man’ and said “ Now we have a magic man call Amit Shah, friends know that in whichever state he makes in roads he conquers it”.
He also clarified that BJP will not have any pre-poll or post poll alliance and will form Government on its own.
“BJP will fight the polls on its own, we will form Government on our own and we will not have any pre poll or post poll alliance”.
After BJP declared its candidate list, Rudy was the first leader from Central BJP who campaign for the party candidate apart from Nalin Kohli and Alphons Kannanthanam in Meghalaya .
