TNT You are the only lone contestant from Sikkim at FBB Colors’ Femina Miss India 2017? How are you feeling?
RG; I am feeling really great and proud to be not just the lone contestant from Sikkim but it’s a huge honour for me because I am representing my tiny Himalayan state of Sikkim. It is a privilege and a responsibility as well, with my beauty I want to reflect the beauty of my state to the country and world.
TNT: How was your experience in the recent audition held at Kolkata of east zonal round of FBB Colors’ Femina Miss India 2017? Briefly tell us how did you feel after being crowned as FBB Colors’ Femina Miss India Sikkim 2017?
RG: It was really an amazing experience, infact I had the opportunity to not just meet up the well vibrant contestants of other states but I had the experience of learning much from them. I was there for 3 days which included grooming sessions and all of us were availed to meet reputed personalities from fashion industry. We had sub-contest, and various activities which really helped me a lot to learn much things about fashion and life.
Winning the title of FBB Colors Femina Miss India Sikkim 2017 was really unexpected because there were other two co-contestants were also representing Sikkim in the east zonal round, they were equally good and vibrant but fortunately it was me who made it for which I feel I am blessed.
TNT: Despite the fact, you could not win the title last year of Miss Sikkim 2016 but you were in the top 10 finalists in the same and now you are representing Sikkim in the grand Miss India 2017. How has Miss Sikkim 2016 changed your life?
RG: Though I could not win the title but it has helped me a lot to get groomed and helped me to learn, experience and get exposed to the fashion world. It built up my confidence and became the platform to make me realise that my dream was in true making. Once again though I could not win the title of Miss Sikkim 2016 but it helped me realise my potential and that is helping me to pursue my dream in Miss India 2017 currently.
TNT: Tell us, apart from modelling and fashion dreams, who is Roshni Ghimirey?
RG: Roshni Ghimirey is a very determined and optimistic person, a self motivated individual and who always try to find motivation in very minute things in life. I am a soft hearted person, and a bit emotions always get along with my life. I am a simple, diligent and begotten daughter of my parents.
TNT: What are you expecting at Mumbai during the training sessions of FBB Colors’ Femina Miss India 2017?
RG: Training sessions I am sure will be really tough (laughs) because the many beauty with brains will be present there with the determination to win the title but apart from all the learning, experience and competition I will be sharing a lot about my Sikkimese culture, ethics and reflect the core serene beauty of my state. I am looking forward to meet, greet and interact a lot with my co-contestants there and also meet various personalities from fashion industry.
TNT: Do you think winning a title would make difference to you?
RG: Yes definitely, it will make a difference not just to me but to anyone who wins (laughs) but the win is something more to me because I come from a tiny Himalayan state Sikkim and the win will make my state and people proud and help me let my state rise and shine wherever I heading to.
I always want to be a model so winning will really push me up much closer towards my dream and aspiration.
TNT: So far, from Sikkim to Kolkata, and now moving towards Mumbai to represent Sikkim. Who would you like to pour your credits to?
RG: (smiles) I would like to pour not just credits but also my gratitude towards my parents for all the support despite the fact they are not that well aware about the different aspects of modelling and fashion. I truly pour my credits to Positude, CEO Ms. Gyurmila Bhutia, MD Bijay Subba and the entire team for helping me realise my potential and bringing me to the platform as such. I would like to especially thank my brother for all the support and motivation.
