Manipur: Chief of United Kuki Liberation Army arrested in Senapati

IMPHAL, April 5: Manipur police nabbed three militants including president of United Kuki Liberation Army (UKLA) Thangkhosei Guite at Senapati here.

DGP Manipur LM Khaute while speaking to mediapersons at his office that UKLA chief carries a Rs 1 lakh reward on his head. Police has been carrying out series of operations for a long time as elections were held and Manipur Police was able to trace the three persons at Hotel Serena at Senapati .

A joint team of Senapati and Kangpokpi police launched an operation today which was led by Superintendent of Police, Kangpokpi Police Station Heisnam Balaram and the hotel was cordoned off.

Various incriminating documents were also found. The Kuki outfit was allegedly involved in extorting money from the people.

UKLA president Thangkhosei Guite of Bunglung village, Kangpokpi district was found with two other cadres identified as Seigoulen Doungel and Lenkhomang Kipgen .
