Tripura: Two men found dead with multiple cut injuries in Bidyabil area

Mounting tension has been reported from Bidyabil area of Khowai subdivision following the recovery of two dead bodies from near a bridge this morning under Champahaor police station.

The recovery of the dead bodies has triggered tension in the area and large contingent of police and TSR jawans have been rushed to the spot to deal with the situation. Both the dead bodies bearing multiple cut injuries have been shifted to the Khowai hospital morgue for post-mortem.

Police sources said that while out on morning walk early this morning a section of people from Bidyabil area under Champahaor police station in Khowai caught sight of two dead bodies of Dilip Debbarma (30) and Shambhu Debbarma (40) under a bridge.

One of the dead bodies was dangling from the bridge. Both the dead bodies bear multiple cut injuries.

Information was passed on immediately to the Champahaor police station and a large force of police and TSR jawans led by SP (Khowai) Dr Kiran Kumar K. rushed to the spot. The corpses were shifted to Khowai hospital morgue for autopsy.

Sources refused to comment on the recovery of the dead bodies but said that apparently it was a case of murder but definitive information could be given only after the autopsy.

Sources said that police's dogs and forensic team are being brought to the area to find a clue in the suspected murders. There is underlying tension in the area but the situation is under control.
