Sikkim Ministers vs Govt Officials’ football match gets crowd cheering

GANGTOK | Nov 13:

The Paljor Stadium was enthralled with much exciting exhibition match played between Chief Minister XI and Chief Secretary XI before the Final Match of 39th All India Governor's Gold Cup Football Tournament kicked off on November 12.

Chief Minister of Sikkim, Prem Singh Tamang (Golay) was the Chief Guest on the occasion.

The highly spirited exhibition match was won by Minister XI in penalty shootout by 6-5 goals. The fifty minutes match concluded with the equal score of two goals from both the teams.

The Goal Keeper of the winning team, Minister Sanjit Kharel saved a penalty shootout to register victory for the minister's team.

Speaker LB Das, Ministers, MLAs, and Political Secretary to Jacob Khaling played under the Captainship of the Minister Mani Kumar Sharma while secretaries and officials participated for Secretary XI.
