Odd-Even formula to be implemented in Sikkim from March 23
GANGTOK | March 21, 2020:
In view of global coronavirus outbreak, Sikkim government on Saturday announced strict advisory on vehicular movement to prevent the spread of the virus.
It was announced that Janta Curfew will be followed and no vehicle will be allowed on Sunday. From Monday onwards odd and even-numbered vehicles will be allowed on alternate days.
The highway will be closed from March 23. Private or government vehicles will be allowed to cross the check post at Rangpo and Melli border crossing only for emergency purposes and with a required pass from SDM and BDO of the respective area.
Likewise, no bars, cafes, restaurants, and shops can be open after 8 pm. The orders are to be implemented until 15th April.
