Nagaland Wrestling Association to conduct series of events in the next 6 months

The Nagaland Wrestling Association, NWA is gearing up to conduct series of events over the next six months, including its 50 years of existence, participation at the national belt and free style wrestling and organizing various Naga style championships.

Speaking to the media persons at its office in Kohima yesterday, NWA president Neivikuolie Khatsü and general secretary Vekhozo said that the most important event would be the 27th edition of Nagaland Wrestling Meet in March next year.

During the wrestling meet, Khatsu said that NWA will also introduce Junior Naga Style (Under-16) wrestling championship.

He also mentioned that the immediate upcoming event for the Association is the first ever selection of wrestlers for belt and free style national championships to be conducted at Khesoh's Grabbling Academy at Grace Higher Secondary School, Kohima on 18th of this month.

The Naga style wrestling would be included for the first time in the upcoming Niathu Sports on 25th of this month. Khatsu also said that the 13th International Hornbill Naga Wrestling Championship would be held on 4th of December at Kisama Heritage village,
Neivikuolie Khatsü informed.
