The attempt at breaking into the bank was discovered this morning at Ampati after the bank branch was opened. Bank officials in the FIR stated that there was an attempt of breaking into the branch before the staff arrived – something they discovered after getting there. Whether the attempt at robbing the bank was carried out once or more was not known as the bank only opened this Monday and had been closed since Saturday.

The thief or a group of burglars reportedly tried to break the main door's lock but failed. They then scaled the wall and managed to get inside but could not enter the strong room. A security review of the bank's strong room revealed that everything was in order and no money had been stolen.
