Meghalaya: Newly-elected KHADC CEM allots portfolios to EMs

The newly-elected Chief Executive Member (CEM) of the Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC), Teinwell Dkhar on Friday allocated different portfolios to the Executive Members (EMs) of the new Executive Committee.

According to the Council's notification, the CEM kept for himself the General Administration department, Forest, Establishment, Law and Legal matters, posting and transfer, appointment, and any other matter(s) not allotted to any members.

NPP leader, Pyniaid Sing Syiem has been given the Deputy CEM's post and he will be holding the Finance and Elaka administration departments.

UDP's Titosstar Well Chyne will hold the Council Building including Council Assets, Planning and Traditional Medicine departments.

HSPDP's Martle Mukhim will hold the Development, Marriage and Divorce departments.

UDP leader Paul Lyngdoh will hold trade, Khasi Hills Autonomous District (Land Development and Building) Regulation, 2015 and Education departments.

NPP's Victor Ranee will hold Revenue Collection and Health and Sanitation department.

UDP's Teiborlang Pathaw will hold Labour License and Enforcement departments.

NPP's Mitchel Wankhar will hold Town Committees, Land, Mines and Minerals departments.

PDF's Macdalyn Sawkmie Mawlong will hold Taxation, Information and Technology departments.

NPP's Rangkynsai Kharbuki will hold Youth Affairs, Water Resources and Arts and Culture departments.

UDP's Jambor War will hold Market and Fisheries departments.

It may be mentioned that the CEM and Chairman, PN Syiem of the Council were elected uncontested on March 7. The newly elected members of the KHADC and JHADC were sworn-in on March 6.
