BSNL & MTNL employees to launch nation-wide strike if demands not fulfilled

NATIONAL | October 10, 2019:

India's largest Telecom service provider BSNL and MTNL will stage a massive nationwide strike seeking clearing of their pending payment.

Thousands of employees are affected for not releasing their salaries for the month of August and September.

Convener of MTNL unions and associations said, "If our demands are not resolved, we will not sit idle. How will you feel if you don't get salaries before Diwali?"

According to media reports, they have decided to go on a strike even before Diwali if they do not get their salaries, BSNL and MTNL employees would hold lunch-hour demonstrations in Mumbai and New Delhi on October 10 and October 16.
