Heavy rainfall triggers flood in Tripura

Agartala August 11,2017: Incessant rainfall has triggered flash floods in Tripura and caused huge damage to houses and farmlands. The accurate figure of loss of properties is yet to be ascertained.
Many houses were submerged in the flood with disruption in daily communication and electricity supply due to the flood.
Most of the affected areas in West District are Sri Lanka Basti, Jogendranagar, Pratapgarh, Chandrapur  Radhanagar etc, according to latest report.
Boats were pressed to rescue people by NDRF and also from Disaster management authority.

The Indian Meteorological Department has issued warning of heavy rainfall in next four days.

Government officials have been asked to be ready with the disaster team to face the odd.
