Tripura: NE girl stands up against cyber bullying by Delhi youth

AGARTALA, December 13, 2017: With the rise in cyber crime, another Northeast youth has come to the front with an incident of cyber-bullying. The sources said that the incident came to light when the victim chose to speak up about the experience she faced on her social media account.

According to the reports, the victim has been identified as one Inia Debnath, a student from Tripura. She shared her bitter experiences of allegedly being harassed by a youth from Delhi who has been identified as Sanket Rao. However, the victim later informed that the accused has tendered apology of his account being hacked later.

According to the victim, I knew him through Facebook. He was a mutual friend but we live in different cities. He shared some illicit conversation and pictures with me out of nowhere which was really gross. Who wants this kind of pictures from a stranger?

She further added that a woman should not remain silent if any such cases are experienced as online online harassment and the cyberbully has become very common at the present day and that the same must be reported.

She further said, "Some people blame the girl, but I disagree because I barely have any kind of provocative pictures on my social media account".
