Tripura: IPFT supremo ousted over charges of accepting bribes from BJP!

 |

Agartala, March 23: As the BJP's hold gets stronger in Northeast Indian states, after Manipur's victory, ripples have been created in various non-BJP ruled states and Tripura, with CPM as the ruling party is just one of them. As the indigenous parties gear up in unision for the upcoming Assembly elections, no efforts are being wasted to dismantle them.

In a recent incident, it has come to light that the Tripura indegenous party, Indigenous Peoples Front of Twipra (IPFT)'s state president N C Dabbarma was expelled from the party on charges of accepting bribe from the BJP. As per the signed notification by State BJP treasurer Sujit Kumar Banerjee, it is been clearly declared that Sujit along with State General Secretary Pratima Bhoumick went to the residence of N.C Debbarma and handed him Rs. 2 lakhs for the ADC bye election as financial assistance as per the central leader's instructions.

As per reports, he was suspended for reviving Rs. 2 lakhs from BJP in August 2016. However, speaking to this media house, N C Debbarma displayed his ignorance on the issue of him being ousted from the indegenous party.

More updates on this will be followed up soon.
