Nagaland: NSCN-K cadre apprehended by Assam Rifles personnel

Dimapur August 10,2017: The personnel of Assam Rifles have apprehended one self-styled captain of the NSCN-K outfit along with incriminating documents from Zunheboto town.

According to a release issued by the PRO of the Inspector General of Assam Rifles (North) informed that based on specific information, troops of 5 Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) launched an operation in general area Alahuto Colony of Zunheboto town, the District headquarters yesterday. During the search, Assam Rifles apprehended Self Styled Captain of banned organization NSCN (K).

The recoveries included incriminating documents and extortion notes from his possession. The apprehended alongwith recovered items was handed over to Zunheboto Police Station for further investigation, the release said.
