Meghalaya: 23.2 percent of the state’s population have Aadhaar coverage

A report of the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has revealed that 7,61,292 Aadhaar cards have been issued in Meghalaya till May 30.

Out of the total population of 32,76,323, the Aadhaar saturation stands at 23.2 percent, the report said.

Aadhaar saturation for the 0-5 year old population, however, stands at 0.1 per cent with 608 cards issued out of a total of 448,950 while the Aadhaar saturation for the 5-18 year age group is 14.8% per cent with a total of 1,59,830 cards issued out of a projected population of 10,80,531, the UIDAI website said.
