No Confidence Motion defeated in Lok Sabha as 325 MPs back NDA

The no-confidence motion introduced by Andhra Pradesh based regional party TDP was defeated in Lok Sabha today as 325 MPs backed the NDA government.

The Speaker confirmed this by announcing , "126 MPs voted in favor of motion, 325 against. Motion has been defeated".

This is a first of its kind event in the Parliament when parties from all spectrum came together to discuss a No Confidence Motion introduced by a regional party.

Prime Minister Modi has tweeted expressing his joy after winning the No Confidence Motion.
