Did you know?

The brand name “SMOKY FALLS tribe COFFEE” as explained in their website is derived from the numerous waterfalls that cascades down the beautiful rolling hills in Meghalaya.

The brewing of coffee in the earlier century was done indigenously with stone mortar and pestle for grinding and earthenware for roasting, however the process died out about 80 years or so. The occurrence of small patches of native coffee in these hills was found mentioned in some literature of the early 20th Century.

Based on these simple facts and the stories of the forefathers that has been handed down to us through the generations, the challenge was undertaken to revive coffee culture using modern machineries and techniques.
