After its failure to garner the support of regional parties and form the government, the Congress party on Thursday held the BJP responsible for its fall alleging the latter of using money power to back the National People's Party (NPP).

Meghalaya congress Spokesperson, Zenith Sangma on Thursday said that the nexus of the BJP with the NPP has been exposed because there is a lot of factor, but the major factor is money power backed by the BJP while adding that the congress party will have to analyse and diagnose what went wrong.

"The nexus of the BJP with the NPP has been exposed because there is a lot of factor, but the major factor is money power backed by the BJP and also lots of other factors that we have to analyse and diagnose what has gone wrong," said the state congress Spokesperson soon after submitting the nomination papers of the congress candidate for the post of the Meghalaya Assembly Speaker.

Once again, the Congress has lashed out against the BJP and NPP stating the BJP, that is now a coalition partner of the NPP led Meghalaya Democratic Alliance, is using its central resources to overthrow the Grand Old Party with the help of NPP.

"In the event of forming the government it has been exposed the nexus of BJP with the NPP. It is the prima facie evidence that there has been very much nexus between the BJP and the NPP".

Commenting on the large scale celebration of the BJP as top notch leaders of the BJP, President Amit Shah, Home Minister Rajnath Singh and other Chief Ministers of various BJP rule states were seen attending the swearing in ceremony of Chief Minister, Conrad Sangma and his cabinet colleagues, Sangma said, "The people of Meghalaya has not given their mandate to the BJP, but then nationwide the BJP is celebrating as though the people of Meghalaya has given the mandate to the BJP".
