NATIONAL | March 28, 2019:

On Tuesday, police booked a minor girl and three of her male friends aged 19-25 for alleged abduction of two minor girls and raping one of them.

Cops believe the minor girl plotted the abduction of her schoolmates.

One of the abducted girl in her police complaint said that she and her cousin study in the same school and were befriended by the accused minor, who was apparently living away from her hometown.

The accused girl had invited the cousins to her parental house on February 11 and had asked them to go with her friend on his bike Praveen (name changed), promising to follow them.

Praveen took the sisters to a hotel where his friend Vijay (name changed) was already present. The duo threatened them saying nobody would come to their rescue. Vijay took the complainant's cousin to another room, raped her and photographed the act.

Meanwhile, the complainant managed to fight off Praveen, who however, managed to click some objectionable photographs of her. The youths threatened to leak the photographs if the girls approached cops.

On March 25, the accused minor told the complainant that she had called Praveen again. But the 15-year-old refused to meet him. Following this, Vijay and Praveen sent the cousins' photographs to one Bunty (name changed). The pictures soon went viral.

A police complaint was subsequently filed and cops booked the minor girl and three youths under Sections 366-A (procuration of minor girl), 354-A (sexual harassment), 376 (I) (commit rape on a woman when she is under 16 years of age) 376 (J) (commit rape on a woman incapable of giving consent), 511 (attempt to commit offence) and 120-B (criminal conspiracy) of the Indian Penal Code as well as Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012 and under the IT Act, said Hisar police spokesperson Harish Bhardwaj.
