Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan tests positive for Covid-19


NEW DELHI | JULY 11, 2020:

Bollywood megastar, Amitabh Bachchan, tested positive for Covid-19 on Saturday, July 11, and was admitted to Nanavati Hospital in Mumbai.

Bachchan tweeted that he had tested positive for Covid-19 and that he has been hospitalised. According to the hospital authorities, his family and staff have been informed of the fact that he has undergone Covid-19 tests and that the results are awaited.

Bachchan also requested those who were close to him in the last 10 days to get themselves tested. Doctors confirmed that Bachchan was symptomatic and was self-isolating at home before being taken to the Nanavati Hospital.

Bachchan had been staying at home ever since the lockdown began on March 25. However, he recently shot some promotional content for the quiz show – Kaun Banega Crorepati, and also for some other projects at his home.

The shoots brought him in contact with the production crew who could have unknowingly carried the Coronavirus.
