India and Kuwait hold bilateral meeting for economic ties

Taking forward the traditional friendship, both nations discussed agendas relating to health, energy, digital and business cooperation, and address the issues of the Indian community living in Kuwait.

External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar on Thursday met the Foreign Minister of Kuwait to discuss economic and business cooperation and charter future course of action for collaborative work.

Taking forward the traditional friendship, both nations discussed agendas relating to health, energy, digital and business cooperation, and address the issues of the Indian community living in Kuwait.

The meeting also witnessed the signing of the MoU between both nations for greater legal protection of Indian workers in the middle eastern nation.

Reflecting upon the 60 years of Indo-Kuwait ties, S Jaishankar said that Kuwait has been a long time trade partner of India, and both nations will continue to work across all spheres for a greater future.
