1. India shows dip in new COVID-19 cases, 37,154 cases recorded in last 24 hours

India registered 37,154 new COVID-19 cases, including 724 COVID-related deaths in the last 24 hours on Monday, informed the Union Health Ministry.

2. Union Minister Nitin Gadkari lays foundation of 16 NH projects in Manipur

Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari, along with Manipur Chief Minister N. Biren Singh, inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of sixteen National Highways Projects during an event held at the state capital of Imphal on Monday. 

3. PM Modi announces ex gratia of Rs 2 lakh for kin of people killed in lightning strike

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Monday, announced an ex gratia of Rs 2 lakh to the kin of those who lost their lives due to lightning strikes in parts of Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, and Madhya Pradesh.

4. Indo-American tennis player Samir Banerjee bags Wimbledon boys' singles title

American tennis player of Indian origin, Samir Banerjee won the Wimbledon boys' singles title on Sunday, in just his second Grand Slam. He brushed aside his compatriot Victor Lilov 7-5, 6-3 in one hour 22 minutes.

5. Nagaland: RPP urges govt to consider age relaxation for NPSC, NSSB aspirants

Newly formed political party from Nagaland, the Rising People’s Party (RPP) has requested the Nagaland Government to give age relaxation to aspiring Nagaland Public Service Commission (NSPC) and Nagaland Staff Selection Board (NSSB) aspirants, who could not appear for the examinations due to the COVID imposed restrictions.

6. Dibrugarh-Imphal flight becomes operational under UDAN programme

Domestic carrier Indigo started another flight from Dibrugarh to Imphal on Monday, under the Regional Connectivity Scheme (RCS) – UDAN programme of the Government of India.
