Thunder squalls, hailstorm likely to pay Northeast India a visit on April 4 & 5, says Met Deptt

Thunder squall accompanied with hail & wind speed exceeding 50 KMPH is likely to occur in isolated places in all the Northeastern states excluding Sikkim on April 3, 4 and 5, according to Met Department.

Available data indicate that light to moderate rain occurred at most places over Arunachal Pradesh,Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland & Manipur and at a few places over Tripura. Light rain occurred at a few places over Mizoram with isolated heavy to very heavy falls over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam & Meghalaya during last 24 hrs. Day temperature rose over Meghalaya & Manipur, fell markedly over Arunachal Pradesh and no large changed over rest of the region during last 24 hrs. Those were markedly below normal over Arunachal Pradesh & Assam and normal over Meghalaya, Manipur & Tripura during last 24 hrs.
