Spells of light rains to continue over NE India, to intensify around July 4

NORTHEAST INDIA | July 30, 2019:
It has been raining in Northeast India since the Monsoon made an onset over the region. Assam, Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh have been recording heavy to very heavy rains.
In the past 24 hours, very active Monsoon activities were seen over most parts of Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Tripura, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, while normal rains were seen over remaining places. While isolated yet vigorous activities were seen over West Assam and Tripura. North Lakhimpur witnessed 15.2 mm of rain while Cherrapunji saw 23.8 mm of rain.
