Flipkart trolled after failing to acknowledge Nagaland as part of India

NAGALAND:

There is a saying that ignorance is bliss - a term personified by Flipkart when one of its customer care executives told a customer that delivery is not possible outside of India.

"Sorry to hear that. We appreciate your interest in shopping with us. However, sellers do not provide our services outside India,” Flipkart support replied.

Realising the mistake, the company issued an apology shortly afterwards.

“We are extremely sorry about the inadvertent error earlier. We strive to ensure serviceability across the nation, including regions in Nagaland. We are happy to connect with you and provide currently available options,” stated the apology.

Meanwhile, the message garnered massive attention from the North East Region and other parts of India for the company's lack of knowledge about geography in the country.
