Meghalaya: Week-long PAC meeting concludes in Tura

The week-long inspection of various State and Central projects culminated in a meeting between several line departments and the subcommittee on Public Accounts Committee (PAC) at the Tura Circuit House on Thursday.

During the meeting, the Committee reviewed the expenditure site and revenue sector of different line departments including Power, PWD Roads, PHE, C&RD, Food & Civil Supply, Forest & Environment, Transport & Taxation.

The state-level meeting had brought up many pending issues observed by the Accountant General in the Comptroller and Auditor General report from 2011 concerning several departments, including the revenue sectors.

The departments were given one month to submit their reports to the PAC over the status of various projects in the state.
