Change of Guard: Hardeep Singh takes over as IG BSF Meghalaya frontier

Hardeep Singh on Wednesday assumed charge as Inspector-General of the Border Security Force, Meghalaya frontier.

He succeeds Kuldeep Saini who retired from service after rendering 36 years of service.

A professional BSF cadre officer of 1986 batch, Hardeep Singh has served in various headquarters and units in different capacities including the prestigious training institute, BSF Academy at Tekanpur.

Taking charge, he emphasised on the co-operation of all concerned stakeholders for effective border management in the State. He also expressed his concern about maintaining cordial relations with the border population towards having a peaceful and crime-free border.

Hardeep Singh said that the primary task of the BSF is to create a sense of security among the population and this will remain his priority as Inspector General of Meghalaya frontier.
