ISI suspect and associate to be produced before court

AGARTALA: The Bangla national suspected to belong to ISI and a Tripura man who were arrested from Agartala Airport on last Tuesday would be produced again before court likely on June 17. They were sent to police remand for a week by a local court.

Currently, the high level investigating team is interrogating them to find out their motive.

"Interrogation is on. But, we cannot reveal in detail till their days in police remand is completed. However, they would be produced before the court on June 17," a senior police official said on Friday.

Police took a case against them under Section 468/471/120 (b) /34 of Indian Penal Code and Section 3 of Passport (Entry into India) Rules 2000.

The Bangla national, known as Balali Miah was caught at Agartala Airport when he was supposed to move for Kolkata. Police seized fake passport, ATM card, PAN card, mobile phone and a memory card with his photographs with some suspect ISI agents after searching him.
