Assam police arrest four miscreants for fuel theft

GUWAHATI:

Assam police arrested four people who were involved in a fuel-theft racket on October 16.

The accused identified as Bulbul Bhuyan, Bhabesh Gogoi, Mominul Hoque and Shivnath Nunia.

The pilferages seized around 1,400 litres of diesel from different petro pumps under the Noonmati jurisdiction.

“We are carrying out the drive aggressively along with the crime branch. There is another suspected place from where nearly 1,000 litres of diesel is expected to be recovered,” Nilotpal Deka, ACP Noonmati division, said.
