Assam: Newlywed bride found dead in Delhi apartment

GUWAHATI:

A newly married bride identified as Ajanta Lahakar was found dead at her residence at Safdarjung Enclave in New Delhi on Sunday.

According to reports, the Assamese girl got married to a man identified as Abhijit Dhar on September 11.

Police sources informed that they had sent the body for post-mortem and are waiting for the report.

Meanwhile, the family of the deceased believed that Lahakar was murdered and demanded an investigation into the matter.

Lahakar’s family said they noticed that the stand of the chilling fan at the residence was slightly bent and that the kitchen utensils were in disarray.

The mirror is in a dilapidated condition, and there were injuries on Abhijit’s body too, they said.
