Assam: Remembering ‘Abhi-Neel’ and the dreaded incident that left a scar for life

Assam along with the families of Abhijeet Nath and Nilotpal Das' families observed the first death anniversary of the duo at their homes in Guwahati.

It may be mentioned that a year ago, Nilotpal Das and Abhijit Nath from Guwahati became victims of a very unfortunate incident that occurred in Panjuri village of Karbi Anglong.

The two got caught in the midst of fake social media reports on child-kidnapping/child theft in Karbi Anglong whereby an irate mob lynched them to death, the sight of which was circulated all over social media.
But later it was found that Nilotpal was pursuing his musical career in Goa, while Abhijeet was engaged in business.
It is to be mentioned that social media is flooded with condolences and prayers for the departed duo today and people are awaiting justice from the administration.
Presently, the trial for their case is being processed at Nagaon court.
