Assam: Police official suspended, arrested for pro-Pakistan post

The aftermath of Pulwama attack of Feb 14 witnessed the detention as well arrest of several people in India for making pro-Pakistan comments. While 4 cases such cases were reported from the Northeast Indian state of Assam alone.
And this time, an Assam police official has been arrested in Morigaon district on charges of sharing a pro-Pakistan post on social networking platform Facebook.
The accused has been identified as Rafikul Islam, posted at Borsola Police Outpost under Laharighat Police Station. He had allegedly shared a post on Facebook by RJ Rezek Ali on his timeline hailing Pakistan and Pakistan's Prime Minister, Imran Khan.
Following the post which went viral, Laharighat police detained the constable and he has been suspended.
