Mystery surrounds Neha Sharma's identity as locals of Merabil in Udalguri have failed to recognized Neha who died in Isreal.

Locals have demanded a thorough investigation as no information regarding her parents identified as Pushkar Raj Sharma and Tirath Sharma was found.

According to G-Plus report, five years back, Neha had moved to Israel with an Indian passport for employment and was illegally residing in Israel for the past two years.

The report added, Neha Sharma alias Jamuna Thapa, who originally hailed from Biratnagar, Nepal, had availed Indian passport with a purportedly fake birth certificate issued from Mazbat in Assam's Udalguri district. She died in Israel's Tel Aviv on 30 November and has left a question mark on the administration and locals of Merabil, Udalguri.

Based on the inputs provided by the Inspector General of Delhi Police, Robin Hibu, and the details mentioned on her passport, the locals of Merabil under Assam's Udalguri have no knowledge of anyone by the name of Neha Sharma.

According to the documents available, Neha Sharma was born on July 16, 1980 and her passport was registered as L637541 which clearly mentions that she was born in Merabil in Assam.

Administration officials of Merabil are in a dilemma as of how she had managed to get a birth certificate from the local Primary Health Centre and how the police verification of her identity was verified while issuing the Indian passport.
