Assam: Morigaon jailer caught red handed while taking bribe!

Mar 21, 2017– As more and more reports of corruption are flooding in from various departments of the government sector, the issue has raised a question mark on the accountability of the law enforcers in the domain of the public.

In a similar incident, the Anti-Corruption and Vigilance Wing of the Assam Police arrested Morigaon district jail Jailer Dhruba Jyoti Barua in a bribery case Monday night.

It may be mentioned, the police officer had sought Rs 10000 to clear money for bills of a contractor. During interrogation the police official confessed of seeking bribe from contractor Manash Nath
