Assam: Man jumps off Saraighat Bridge into Brahmaputra river

GUWAHATI, June 30, 2018: In an incident that took place in the city, one man had reportedly jumped off the Saraighat Bridge today morning.
The man has been identified as Sonmoni Kalita hailing from of Mukalmua, Nalbari and is a cab driver by profession.
SDRF and NDRF members are currently organizing a rescue operations to find the person.
Sources suspect that financial burden has compelled the person to take the step.
