Assam Govt declares public holiday on account of council elections

GUWAHATI | January 19, 2019
The Assam Government has declared January 21 as a public Holiday on account of Council elections 2019 of Rabha Hasong Autonomous Council, Mising Autonomous Council and Sonowal Kachari Autonomous Council Election under the NI Act in Council areas of RHAC, MAC and SKAC.
It has been informed that all government and non-government offices, educational institutions, business establishments including banks, tea garden and industrial institutions etc, falling within the respective Council areas of Rabha Hasong Autonomous Council, Mising Autonomous Council and Sonowal Kachari Autonomous Council, will remain closed.
