Assam Dekhow accident: Bodies of drowned family and car recovered on day 5

Guwahati: The rescue team on Wednesday recovered the drowned Maruti Swift Dzire car from the Dekhow river. The decomposed bodies of the five members of a Guwahati-based family who drowned after their car fell into the river were found inside the car today afternoon. The drowned car bore the No AS01BQ 9788.
On September 1, five members of a Guwahati-based family went missing after their Maruti Swift Dzire plunged into the Dekhow River at Dichial village of Dikhowmukh. The five five members of the family have been identified as Haren Borah (52), his mother Ponou Bora (86), his wife Phunu Bora (45) and his two daughters Simpi Bora and Munmi Bora (22 and 18).
