Assam: AASU office attack prime accused Subodh Biswas arrested!

GuwahatiMar 22:After 16 days on the run from police, prime accused of the AASU office attack in Silapathar Subodh Biswas was arrested by a team of Assam Police  on Wednesday wee hours.

The Assam Police team led by ADGP Mukesh Agarwala arrested Biswas from the house of a teacher identified to be Krishnapad Raha at Bajitpur village, 3 kilometers from the Indo-Bangladesh border in North 24 Parganas in West Bengal.

One other accomplice of the NIBBUSS president, Subhash Biswas was also arrested. The arrested duo would be produced before a local court subsequent to which they would be produced before the Kolkata High Court.

The Assam Police had carried out operations in search of the AASU office attack accused in West Bengal, New Delhi, Tripura, Andaman and Mumbai.
It may be mentioned that Hindu Bengali refugees led by Subodh Biswas had vandalized the AASU office in Silpathar on March 6.
