Assam: 19-yr-old youth arrested for posting anti National status on Facebook

The aftermath of Pulwama attack in Jammu & Kashmir on Feb 14 has witnessed several arrests in Assam pertaining to anti-national comments or posts on social media. Less than a week after two people were booked by Assam police for sedition, another 19-yr-old youth identified as Mohammad Hafizur Rehman alias Sunny has been arrested by the Mangaldai police on Tuesday for posting pro Pakistan status on his Facebook wall after which there was a massive outrage against him on social media.
The youth has been booked according to a case vide MLD PS C/no 129/19 u/s 124A/505(2) of the IPC and remanded him to judicial custody after registering a case in Mangaldai police station.
As per reports, the youth is a Class X drop out who has been sharing anti India and Pro Pakistan statuses on Social Media.
