Regional bodies of Tripura resolve to work together for welfare of indigenous people

The regional bodies of Tripura -- The Indigenous Progressive Regional Alliance (TIPRA), Tripura People's Front (TPF) and the Indigenous Nationalist Party of Twipra (INPT) have resolved to work together on several issues concerning the state.

The consensus was reached during a meeting of the three organisations recently whereby they have jointly resolved to work "unconditionally without any self-interest" for the social, cultural, political and economic rights of the indigenous people.

The meeting was attended TIPRA Chairman Pradyot Manikya Debbarma, INPT General Secretary Jagadish Deb Barma and TPF President Patal Kanya Jamatia.

TIPRA Chairman Pradyot Manikya Debbarma took to social media and posted, "I have tried my best and succeeded in ensuring that INPT and TPF along with TIPRA unite UNCONDITIONALLY based on ideology and not elections."

The meeting focused on issues such as NRC, CAA, Detect, Delete and Deportation of Illegal Voters, Inner Line Permit amongst others.
