Incessant rains, floods and landslides have left 90 people dead and 34 others missing in Vietnam's central region.

Around 1,21,280 people from 37,500 households have been evacuated, to safety from Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, Quang Tri and Thua Thien Hue.

Natural disasters, including floods and landslides, have caused extensive damage to life and property, including national highways and smaller roads.

In an emergency meeting on Sunday, the disaster management committee issued a level-four alert concerning the risks of natural disasters in central Vietnam.
